Starting Our Journey at Xiji Incubator Shanghai π¨π³
A few weeks ago we arrived in Shanghai to start a new chapter for Tuko.
For the next months we will be part of Xiji Incubator, an international startup program based at Tongji University, designed to help early-stage founders build and scale global startups.
This opportunity allows us to work from one of the most dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystems in the world while continuing to develop the vision behind Tuko.
And honestly, it feels like the perfect place to do it.
Why Shanghai?
Shanghai is one of the most exciting places on the planet to build technology.
Everywhere you look there are startups, investors, new products and ambitious people trying to build something big. The speed at which companies are created here is something you immediately notice.
China has already shown the world how powerful group buying models can be. Platforms like Pinduoduo have transformed how millions of people buy products online by turning shopping into a social experience.
Being here gives us the opportunity to understand these models much deeper and learn directly from the ecosystem where many of them were born.
What are we building?
Tuko is based on a simple idea: when people buy together, everyone should pay less. Our platform allows users to join group purchases that unlock better discounts as more people participate.
At the same time, brands benefit by selling larger volumes while reducing customer acquisition costs.
What comes next?
During the program we will focus on improving our MVP, testing the concept with users and brands, and learning as much as possible from the ecosystem around us.
