New Formulas. Pitching Tuko in Shanghai 🇨🇳

One evening in Shanghai turned out to be one of the most exciting moments of the journey so far.

We were invited to speak at “New Formulas – E-Commerce, FMCG and the Future of Retail,” an event that brought together founders, investors and industry professionals to discuss how the next generation of commerce is being built.

The room was full of builders

Before the startup pitches began, the evening opened with a panel featuring professionals from major global companies like L’Or\u00e9al and Adidas, alongside founders and ecosystem leaders.

The conversation revolved around how consumer behavior, technology and AI are reshaping retail, especially in fast-moving markets like China.

Listening to people working at the frontier of these industries set the tone for the night.

This wasn’t just another event. It was a room full of people thinking about what retail will look like in the next decade.

Five startups, one stage

Later that evening, five selected startups were invited to present their ideas.

Each project came from a different angle of innovation: AI tools for e-commerce brands, platforms connecting global buyers and sellers, new consumer experiences and retail technologies.

Among those startups was Tuko.

Standing there, presenting the idea that shopping should be collective, in a room filled with founders, investors and people deeply involved in the Chinese tech ecosystem, was an unforgettable moment.

A reminder of why we build

Moments like this are powerful because they show how global the startup world really is.

Different cultures, different markets, different ideas, all coming together around the same question: what is the future of commerce?

For us, being able to share the vision of Tuko in that environment was not only exciting, but also a reminder that the journey we’re on is only just beginning.
